Ronnie Whelan Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Big Sam must have pulled the plug.1129582[/snapback] Out of his a*** to deflate himself?
Benitez Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 not looking good for Newcastle v Charlton either. They have a pitch inspection at 6.30 We'll soon be hearing even more calls for a winter break if lots of prem games get called off this week!

Earl Hafler Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 It's just been confirmed that Bolton cancelled their fixture as all available resources were being used to thaw out Big Sam's Even Bigger Head, so the pitch was left vulnerable to the weather.
Nebraska Red Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 you would think that the PL would require its teams to ALL have a system of protecting the pitch. there'll be no winter break until the PL reduces the number ot teams.
stressederic Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Can't believe they canceled the Newcastle - Charlton game only 20 odd minutes before kick off. Bet the Charlton fans were dead chuffed after making that trek.

If the pitch was able to be cleared and played on why were fans allowed to travel to the game on dangerous roads before the game called off? Big c**k up by someone.
vish Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Reckon the Newcastle game might have got called off for other reasons... ie give the players a rest!
