Bootle Buck Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Watched the game again and I don't think Shearer or Owen won one ball. Sammi dominated everything in the air, which isn't easy against Shearer(and elbows). It was like two professionals playing against two schoolboys. A lot will be said about Owen's treatment but little probably about the fact that Carra still has him in his pocket.
KD07 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 More importantly, we murdered their midfield to the point that any chance that was going to come their way would be like the final twitches before rigor mortis set in.
Stevie H Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 must've been frustrating for owen and shearer yesterday being ahead of that dominated midfield and up against two defenders who simply wouldn't give them a sniff. could see in carra's eyes how much he wanted the clean sheet yesterday.
DGMO Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I didn't know Luque was playing until the 70th minute and i swear Shearer had one touch in the first half. We were great, but my they were p1ss poor.
woody365 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 It also helped that for 60 minutes we played against a "defence" seemingly determined that we should have as much of the ball as possible. That Titus Bramble was only the second worst defender on the pitch was a pretty poor indictment of Boumsong. £8.5M - you're having a laugh, surely?
chrisbonnie Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 dont get me wrong, we where quality yesterday, but how f***ing s*** are newcastle, id be bricking it if i supported them Souness, how on earth that donkey gets a managerial position ill never know there midfield was non existant, in fairness, they have alot of injuries, but from the first minute to the last they where basically in their own half, i wonder if Pepe is wondering if we`ll deduct his wages as he does f*** ALL

Take a look at our goals for column.... I think Sammi was Man of the Match. Morientes was better than normal but certainly not MoM as some papers are putting out.

It was almost like a practice game with no thret from them whatsoever.

Eiler99 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Sami and Carra were outstanding. Shearer and Owen hardly touched the ball. Our defence is frightingly good.
boohog Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Did Carra do anything in the game? I don't remember him having to touch the ball. In fact I'm not even sure we needed a defense.
anny road Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 i am getting sick of hearing that we didnt finish Newcastle off and somehow this is a worry How many f***ing times do you come up against a keeper in that type of form? he made at least three wonderful saves, and we would have had a pen had the ref not lost his glasses on a normal day it would have been 5-0
Hassony Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 How many f***ing times do you come up against a keeper in that type of form? 1129159[/snapback]it seems every game for us, i am sure martyn/ wright will have a blinder tonight as well
