psl Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Surely we'll beat that lot on Wednesday night? They seem to lose 4-0 most weeks and we've won 8 in a row and not conceeded in that time. Obviously they'll be up for it but I reckon we'll do them. I think we'll see Cisse and Crouch up front and go at them. I shall be sat in the Everton end so will be struggling to surpress any joy as they score a couple each...

Kahnee Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 As Mr Hansen says, form book goes out the window
Eiler99 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I can't wait. We're a joy to watch at the moment. It's a derby and anything can happen, but I feel really confident we'll give them a good hiding.
Swagger Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 As Mr Hansen says, form book goes out the window1128125 True, and they are always up to it against us, but it is a game we really should win.
Scally Bob Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 It doesn't matter how "up for it" they are, they are a very, very poor side and Rafa is tactically light years ahead of that bug-eyed woonker. I will be annoyed with anything less than three points.
Owen1978 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 (edited) I would play Cisse up against Weir, Crouch up against Cold drop, as he has just come back from into the team and wont be 100%, crouch will give him a torrid time. Alonso & Sissoko in center, as they will try to fight their way out, but momo will teach them the meaning of PAIN!!! Think kewell should play as it will stop hibbert coming forward, this is the sort of game he needs, he needs to show the fans he's a fighter! similar to Luis last year. Guest Kev Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 If there was ever a match that you could say 'banana skin', this is it. I hate derby matches.
Hightown Phil Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Anyone reckon we need Hamann and Sissoko in? Have them acting like minders so to speak?
DanielS Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I'd play Cisse up front with Kewell in behind him with Hamman, Sissoko and Alonso in centre mid. Gerrard in the floating roll between centre mid and Kewell. They'll not see that coming and will have spent every spare minute preparing to combat Crouch and Moro.
David Hodgson Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I'd play our best 11 and just blow them away. They simply won't be able to live with us. They don't even have those 'dogs of war' types anymore to turm it into a contest.
Scally Bob Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I see the referee is Poll. They have him there with Clive Thomas and Collina because he disallowed that goal after the final whistle. It's all a RS conspiracy, don't you know?
CaptainXabi Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 If I was Rafa, I know what my tactical instructions to Momo would be. I'd just write a big "17" on Momo's hand and point. And if Momo is still on the pitch after that tackle on Josemi, he can take out Cahill too .Thank you, I'll be here all week.

Guest Les Howard Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 The first goal will be SO important. They get it - their tails are up and their fans (bitter t***ts surely?) will be scenting blood. We get it - their 'fans' will turn on the team - and Gollum. Don't be surprised with some late goals. Do they have a fitness problem coz they've shipped a fair few lately in the latter stages?

psl Posted December 27, 2005 Author Posted December 27, 2005 Do not f**king predict a win.1128290 I predict a riot.
Bootle Buck Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I'd play our best 11 and just blow them away. They simply won't be able to live with us. As you said without Carsley and Graveson they really are not that much of a battling team anymore(see recent results) I think an early goal will open the flood gates and without getting carried away think we will win this game comfortably.
Stevie H Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 be prepared for muck'n'bullets, 'cos moyes' only plan b is to try and kick f*** out of us. we're going to need to scrap first, stand up to the f***s (which we're more than capable of) and then take them apart.
Morse Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I'd play Cisse up front with Kewell in behind him with Hamman, Sissoko and Alonso in centre mid. abuusayd Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Just a word of caution. The 1988 season that ended the unbeaten run by Wayne Clarke's goal.
