CaptainXabi Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Looking at FloPo today, it dawned on me that he's almost exactly in the same position Joe Cole was 3 years ago. Just like Sinama presently, Cole had great touch, great skill, and was generally dazzling on the ball, but there was no end product. I hope Rafa makes it a special mission to help Flo direct his skills, much like Cole has at Chelsea. If he can add some end product, he'll be some player.
LFCNeil90 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I thought he did have some good end produce today.. like that cross which skimmed luis' head and beating guys down the wing regularily
Frosty Jack Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Yes, plenty of end product these days, scored important goals whenever he's been given his chance, he's a good crosser and can get past defenders into the box, think he's far more focussed than cole was back then.
stressederic Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 His close control is excellent at times, and he's surprisingly strong for such a small guy. Made some of the Newcastle players look like (even bigger) muppets at times when he came on.
Cooldude Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 He was brillant today Mind you, it's only Newcastle
hagi_complex Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I like him and hope he stays. He's a livewire and has skill and awareness. The latter will imporve. You can't teach the former. Not first XI but a valuable player. And instrumental in no.5.

I very much hope that Rafa keeps him, because with the right guidance and coaching he will turn from a very good prospect to a very good player.
Ombudsam Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I think cole may be more explosive at getting past players with the ball. I'd like to see sinam developed as a second striker
Eiler99 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 He looked really lively when he came on. Very good cross for Garcia. But I fear that he might be off loaded in January. I don't think his future is with us.
boohog Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 We'd be nuts to let him go. He is faster than Cisse and can dribble the ball to boot. Finishing sometimes leaves a little to be desired (except when it really matters) but then he doesn't play up front enough to judge. I'd like to see Rafa giving him 40 mins regularly when we are comfortable to see what he can do in this team.
realtarragona Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 He is faster than Cisse 1129160 He's nowhere near as fast as him.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 He's nowhere near as fast as him.1129203 true. runs faster with the ball though.
boohog Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 He's nowhere near as fast as him.1129203 Yes. He. Is.
realtarragona Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Show me a clip of Pongolle out running someone please. He's not as fast as he looks. Cissé, on the other hand, is rapid. I'd prefer to keep him anyway as there's obviously potential there.

McBain Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Deffo keep him. He's a good player already and will only improve
Siang Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 Sinama outrunning Cisse 1129382 this pic looked like a scene from Aliens v Predator whereby the human being is running alongside a predator away from the nasty aliens!!!
Foo Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 (edited) That picture is Photoshop'ed. I swear. Edited December 28, 2005 by Foo

Guest Anders Honoré Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 hopefully he will go the same way as Garcia and be a capable player in numerous positions.

Ideally he could develop into a player who could also perform excellently at LB. Giving the type of player he is and his ability to beat players i think out wide is where he should be deployed. In saying that Cole is pulling more centrally of late and is performing well, if he is to develop as well as Cole then deploying him as a second striker could well be an option.
