he must be wondering if it was really worth it to go there and play alongside an aging Shearer and in front of a dreadful midfield and non existent defence.

 

but, he will be fine come payday.

Agreed, dont want him - He doesnt fuction well in team play, fair enough he can put the ball in the net but he can only play one way, looking for balls in behind - Crouchy and Moro give the likes of Stevie & Xabi the platform they need to do their stuff in the last third - Owen just cannot offer that

Excellent media training from all our staff today. Both Stevie and Rafa completely deflected the impetus of the question when questioned on Owen's reception.

Like I said in other threads, he would not get a sniff of a chance, I don't know why so many of us were worried about him possibly scoring - I knew it would never happen.

The big-game Owen is gone, replaced by a pale imitation, I knew there was no way he'd get the better of Carra and Sami.

Good luck Mikey, you'll get the goals to keep Newcastle in the league, I'm sure of it!

Easy to say after the game isnt it, you know he wouldnt score. Bet you dont shout out about the amount of times your wrong.

Yeah, that's how I feel too. I think he deserves being at Newcastle, but silence probably would have hurt more, I think.

owen's is nothing like he was or should of become...

 

but at the end you could see him thinking, what the 'f==k' have i done!

 

 

and the bramble coming on moment was absolute classic even though he prob was their best player on the day!

Isolated my ars*. There was plenty of booing early on, and a spiteful chorus of 'where were you in Istanbul'.

 

Not very proud of the Kop today. Owen didn't deserve that.

i do not think he deserved that reception he scored many great golas for us and has not said a bad word about the club
