CHRed Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Did you see the way he pushed Shearer and grabed Bowyers face in that fracas No more friend, friend business going on. He really cares now...........
Guz Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Did you see the way he pushed Shearer and grabed Bowyers face in that fracas 1127521 Feckin good job he didn't get himself sent off/booked
Nebraska Red Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Crouch should have been sent off along with Bowyer, did Babayaro get booked? Crouch was very lucky not to get a red card and his game went to pot after that incident, he does not play the hard man role very well does he?
hagi_complex Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Hardly a new thing this season, though, is it?

Remember his spat with Rio? Get out of my face you ugly lisping s***house.
Stigger Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Yep he hardly touched him. Shearer came in and pushed Crouchy just after it and he didn't get booked. Souness can hardly say the ref was on our side the way he missed the pen and sending off of Solano.
Nebraska Red Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Babayara was very lucky he did not get a red today, his push on garcia should have been a yellow and the tackle on Alonso should have been his 2nd. You have to wonder if Bowyer has a brain, his team is getting soundly beaten and he dives in like that. Oh, and how halsey missed the penalty for handball and the subsequent deflection for a corner is amazing. he had a clear view of the first and the linesman must have seen the 2nd.

Stevie H Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 great to see crouchy sticking up for his team-mates, and stevie g likewise. gerrard was perhaps a bit lucky not to get a card for shoving shearer, but great to see. shows real team unity and we should mix it up more often. even reina was out of his goal like a shot.Posts merged:oh and it was f***ing great to see carra giving shearer a gobful as well.

The yellow was sufficient.
madaboutlfc Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 There really looks like great team spirit with our lads.. our best performance.. we should have won by 10 and Solano should have been sent off.. El Moro and Crouchinho really did show why Rafa wanted them two ahead of someone called Owen whose general link up play was aweful.. PS.. on a side note I was disappointed some people boo-ed Owen but I didnt really cheer for him.. Gerrard must look at him and think.. thank feck I showed loyalty..
R A Softlad Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 and Solano should have been sent off.. 1127605 Is correct.
StevieC Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 It was Bowyer and Shear FFS. When Stevie G smacks Lampard about for being a snide c*nt then I'll believe the nicey nice approach has gone. Was a yellow for Bowyer but a few snappy tackles beforehand, that lunge at Alonso seconds before the actual tackle, his previous reputation and a bit of gamesmanship from Crouch got the little c*nt off. Good.

stressederic Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I loved that example of team spirit. Obviously you don't want to see games developing into mass brawls, but the way the lads piled in to defend Alonso did bring a smile to my face. A smile that only widen when Lee c***ing Bowyer got his red card.

Ave it!!!! Crouchy got a cheer from me too!!!! Then in the background are saw Reina charging up towards all of them, thought to my self the toon players better f*ckin watch out
New York Red Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 What about Halsey flinching and turning his back on the free-kick that Morientes handled?
Bootle Buck Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Stevie ran his @rse off until the very end. Even when the game was pretty much all over he kept marauding forward. Great Example.
CaptainXabi Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Stevie ran his @rse off until the very end. Even when the game was pretty much all over he kept marauding forward. Great Example.1127704He did indeed. But he almost always does that. For me the best part was the timing of his runs. He was careful not to leave Xabi stranded. That's what we like to see Stevie.
G Richards Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Crouch gave a little push on Bowyer (who overreacted) then Alan 'dirty baldy gets away with murder' Shearer pushes Crouchy. Stevie was having none of that and ran over and gave the biggest shove of the lot to Shearer, and it was nice to see Stevie 'clothes-line' Bowyer and also great to see Carra weigh in with a bit of verbal for Shearer. Mostly handbags, but great unity showed IMO. And poor Mikey! His new best mate (old man Shearer) getting put right in his place by a couple of his old best mates!
madskilz Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Yes it wasn't the most cleaver thing to do, but i loved the way Stevie G ran in and man-handled Shearer, he was showing him who was the boss and that his bully boy tactics would'nt work with us!

The team looks like one f***ing mean unit atm. Rafa talks often about the importance of working together and the creation of a TEAM. He's surely about to create that. Every player contributes making a solid team unit.
