I'll start with: Goalie can't pick up a back pass with their hands...

Subs: Used to be none, then 1, then 2 from 2, then 2 from 3 but one had to be a keeper, then 3, now 3 from 5. Probably some other combinations I missed.

With all the current controversy in the offside rule, I think they should go back to the old way. If an attacker is ahead of the backline despite not "being active" he is offside. Surely any striker who is standing ahead of the backline is clearly seeking to gain an advantage territorially.

 

 

Rule change: Keeper is allowed to move along his goal line before the ball is struck during a penalty.

Goalies and their steps. They used to be only allowed to take 6 steps, now they just have a time limit.

 

Funny that they changed a rule that was hardly ever enforced, for one that is hardly ever enforced.

is this fad of players stuttering in the run-up to a penalty due to a change in the laws? i was sure it used to be a non-starter to interrupt the run up.

Also - kicking the ball out of play when the above is happening.

 

Taking the ball into the corner to waste time.

 

Moving the ball 10 yards closer to the goal if the opposition complain too much. Thus making it HARDER to get the ball up over the wall and then down again. (Whatever happened to this BTW?)

And 'bent' referrees. Did you know that when Essien did the horror tackle on Ben Haim of Bolton - Rob Styles failed to send him off (He did however Send Gardner off later on for a harsh handball decision). When Essien fouled a spurs player as last man - Rob Styles failed to send him off (but DID send Mido off for an innocuous foul later on). And on Sunday after use of the elbow and then deliberately tripping Lauren when already on a yellow card ( an identical foul for which T Henry WAS booked) - Rob Styles failed to book him again and send Essien off. Coincidence eh?

 

Technical area's for coaches. When did they all of a sudden become part of our game?
