Montse Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I thought the £3m was if we won but it was actually £1.1 - cant remember where I saw it but it was one of the articles recently
Mike E Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Somebody said yesterday that we saw about £3.5m as opposed to SP's £4.5m. The total pool was £12m so another £4m shared inequally between the other involved teams dependant on position.
Anfield Fox Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 $15m US Dollars split between 6 teams depending on finishing position. As we finished second we would have gotten the second largest cut - duh! FIFA paid travel and accomodation. I would assume our deal was with the BBC for the broadcasting rights rather than with FIFA. Unsure about gate recipts.Posts merged:Pays a weeks wages then.1121997[/snapback] Weeks wages was £1.2m last time i checked. Which is just about what we make from a league fixture at Anfield.
Guest Jack Bauer Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I wondered if Rafa was a bit irate by the defeat because if we would have won we would have had an extra million to spend.

Red_Polo Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 Think he's referring to his father dying and him not being able to get over in time for the funeral due to Spanish coroner laws or whatever
