were Liverpool allocated for Hillsborough?

Some plonker at aftonbladet.se has writted a short history of Liverpool type thing and brought up the loads of fans arrived without a ticket story and says Liverpool were allocated 6000 tickets. Doesn't sound quite right to me but I'd like the facts before putting him straight.
