this is a very "international break" article but it's good -

The Umbro Speciali have a beautiful unfancied clogger centre-back vibe to them. They could work in the centre of the park – just getting it on the half-turn, taking half an hour to half-turn the other way and giving it simple.

LOL

Always Adidas for me, really. Beckenbauer when I was about 10, I had some '2000' I think they were, navy blue but looked black and had the same sole as the World Cup with that red bit in the middle of the sole

Nike Tiempo were mine when schoolboy but I was an Ian Rush fanboy.

Then switched to Patrick in the 90’s. Jean-Pierre Papin’s. Jesus I loved them boots.

Black Boots Matter.

As a kid, I used to go into town and drool at all the boots in Jack Sharp on Whitechapel.

My parents could only afford the cheaper ones, which I got every birthday and Christmas.

As soon as I saved enough from my various part time jobs, I bought myself a pair of the fancy new side lacing boots.

Stylo's? They were s***, George Best promoted them, almost as bad as the white boots Bally wore with side lacing.

Always had cheap Adidas plus one stripe. Then the World changed when I got my Puma Dalglish silver swipe.

After them my mum got me some knock off fancy Adidas, maybe World Cup?

About 2 sizes too small and crippled me but I didn't care I was a Professional footballer in them

You can laugh, when I started playing at age 10 football boots for little kids still had toecaps. I got my first proper boots when I went up to secondary school. 'Modern' boots were for the famous players, new fangled lightweight boots worn by  fancy dans from Italy and such like, hence they were called 'Continental'boots and I so desperately wanted a pair.  The thing with toe cap boots when you are starting out, you could kick it further and toe poking was the thing, we all had to learn what an instep was later on.

They were in thing, side laces to improve your shooting and passing.

Was back in Gola's pretty soon after that.

My problem was that I outgrew my boots ridiculously quickly as a young teenager. Luckily my feet stopped growing when I got to a size 13 at age 14.

My parents couldn't afford decent boots, imagine if I'd asked for a wet suit and oxygen tanks. 😲😲

My point is, with feet as big as yours you wouldn't need to buy flippers.
