Gethin Posted April 13 Posted April 13 So I think…. if Arsenal lose against Ipswich we could win the title if we win this one. If they draw and we win they could still mathematically tie us If we both win, they could hand it to us by dropping points against Palace on the Wednesday or we could take it out of their hands v Spurs on the weekend 1
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Arsenal will win we should win a*** could draw with Palace though - but they are at home where they're pretty strong if they do, then a draw with Spurs is enough

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 13 Posted April 13 I mean, Ipswich..... then again we thought post-Madrid they'd be on a high and brush Brentford aside Could do with a grueling game going to penos ideally

Cheesecake Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Beat the dross = Win the league, might be factually correct next weekend…

If they draw, they can't overhaul us on points, only on GD, which is unlikely. 9 hours ago, Gethin said: Did "we"? But I knew, with certainty, that they'd both rest players v Brentford AND beat them comfortably. And who was right, eh?

Aldo's a legend Posted April 14 Posted April 14 If Wolves and West Ham don't win their games, we can send them and that horse-faced manc down to the championship....

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 14 Posted April 14 @Nebraska Red I'm going to be upstate on Sunday, I really don't need us winning the league when I'm not on a 12 hour session down the bar I mean, I wouldn't be mad but it's now when not if, so we can be choosy 31 minutes ago, mofus77 said: Lets just agree on 6-0 8

It would be nice to get the guard of honor in front of the Anfield crowd.

Cam Posted April 14 Posted April 14 The crowd was tense, unnecessarily & unhelpfully nervous and even toxic during that second half. A half we were largely in the lead for and, at worst, about to go 11 points clear. And it continued at 2-1. A draw would have made little difference yesterday as this title is done. Jurgen would have gone full batsh*t crazy at times. There were additional issues on the pitch - and the subs made it all worse - but if we're happy to accept our role as a 12th man when things go well we should accept that the crowd can influence the players negatively too. The worst offenders upped & offed bang on full-time, crowding round the exits for that extra 90 seconds head start. Stay in your seats and bask in the last minute winner, enjoy the glow of 13 points and applaud the lads for doing what you've been screaming at them for. If the Spurs game doesn't go the easy way from minute One it'll be pretty horrible at times. Of course, it'll be fine in the end because Spurs gotta Spurs. But the entitled pr*cks won't care that we're literally minutes away from the title - they want an easy & comfortable thrashing because that's how the highlights on TikTok & YouTube are. Win it at home for the fans? I'm not so sure some deserve it. 1 4
