Liverpool vs Spurs - Premier League, 27th April @ 4:30pm

C'mon Spurs, smash these sh*t feckers and give your lovely North London neighbours a boost. Do it for Sol.

As I've said before, I can't be there 'cos I'm doing the London frigging Marathon. First marathon and will be lucky if I finish, so yeah, could be a gigantic & costly waste of time.  10:45am start time with kick-off 4:30pm, so still stuck in a hellish finish zone or en route back to the hotel and not even near a TV by the time kick-off comes around. Then no chance of the Premier Inn having Sky. Literally out of the loop until an hour after the final whistle.

ST holder since '93. Thousands of hours wasted on dross. Thousands of hours wasted on false dawns and missing pieces. Thousands of hours wasted on near misses. Then that elusive title... but behind closed doors. Now this sh*tty scenario. This is the fixture I've feared for months.

So I want the title won on Wednesday with an Arsenal loss. Or a Spurs miracle. Or at Stamford Bridge. Preferably versus Arsenal. It's guaranteed now so a couple of draws won't make a difference; it doesn't make me a bad person.

Selfish? Yep. Should I want the fans to have their moment at home? Nope, I'm surrounded by pr*cks. Should I want the players to have their moment in front of the fans? Yep, but still. Probably 40 or 50 grand spent in three decades and the two highlights are a Tim Sherwood title and a Peter Ndluvu hat-trick.

"Oh when the Spurs go marching in....".  Sorry, not sorry.

Surely you could twist an ankle between now and Sunday. At least you'd have a genuine reason to watch the match.

What's the biggest dream?

Nothing like your London Marathon, but I am passing up on a barbecue brunch for Saint George's Day, and a birthday pool party. I intend to watch every single second of the pre game, the actual game and the post game shows. All on my own with nobody to bother me.

Tears will be shed.

Hoping for a new pandemic and a short pause to the season.

Bloody hell, that's a nightmare, not a dream. 🤔

Hmmm, can you get nice pandemics?

Taking my son who’s 15. He’s the same age I was last time we won the league with a crowd. Serendipity I guess. I’ve never been when we’ve won a league and who knows when such a chance comes again.

Finish up work on a 15 month project next Friday that’s been brutal for me so this is just such a moment. I can’t wait.

Y'see, this is nice. But I guess the footballing gods are going to have to decide between me and Romario Junior.

A very localized pandemic which wipes out certain people in the vicinity of Mar a Largo, Florida. That would be nice.

We know who to blame if we blow it then.

I want to see Darwin come on. Score the winner, go completely mental and then disappear into the Kop like in escape to victory. Fans disguising him, wrapping him is scarfs caps etc. and we never see him again.
He reappears in the Peruvian lower leagues in a season or two but by then we’ve won a few more leagues and we’ve all moved on.

When we won in Istanbul, I bounced up and down on a trampoline for a half hour. When we last won the League, I ran topless round the garden over and over for f***ing ages.

Yes, I have pictures. No you can’t see them.

Think I might have a camomile tea and a biscuit next Sunday.

Dignity is important.
