What do you do here? Slot picked a strong team first leg.

We pick another strong team and try to win the tie. We've got Plymouth away at the weekend so can afford to rotate during that.

I reckon the likes of Nunez and Jota may well play.

Yup - there's no excuse for not going as strong as we can here. There's a trophy to win.

This game has taken forever and given them time to get Romero and van de Ven back. They won't be match fit though you wouldn't imagine. I hope we blow them away.

Hopefully they both play today, as last time he rushed them back and they immediately broke down.

Though I just looked and I think Romero is still out

Oh good. Sure I read he was back in training.

Regardless, smash them all over the f***ing shop.

Of course on a Thursday. What’s the point in that?

Arsenal and Spurs both playing today so neither game can be Tuesday, I assume. So Weds and Thurs it is.

can this go to extra time or is it straight to pens after 90?

is away goals a thing?

Extra time then pens in both the Semi and Final

Away goals is not a thing.

Coz the team coach has to drive to Plymouth at the weekend. And that’s about 4000 miles on A and B roads. We won’t get there till midday Sunday.

I'd like to see Cheisa starting this with Mo and Darwin/ Gakpo

Diaz was crap again yesterday

Worked his balls off.

van de Ven not involved for Spurs today. Wonder if they'd chuck him straight in at Anfield.

He played last Thursday. Ange obviously prioritising Cups.

They fly to Plymouth, right? To Exeter at least?

Just like the 1st leg, I expect Alisson to start this with Kelleher getting the lower league cup game at the weekend.

I'd be happy giving Alisson the longer rest, perhaps away in warmer climes, but seeing as he's just remembered how to save shots it may be wise to use him.

don't think away goals is a thing anywhere anymore - maybe in some domestic or local leagues but nothing major
