I’ve looked and I don’t see a thread dedicated to fantasy footy which is unusual given how popular the game is and all the content now available all over the socials.  
 

When I look at the YNWA.tv league I don’t even recognise half the names so please introduce yourselves and give us a rundown of how your season is going. 
 

I did pretty well last year, finishing second (I think) in our league. I have 2 teams this year, one doing well and one not so well. Typically it’s the one doing not so well that I’ve entered in this league but there’s a long way to go.

Do you actively follow content creators?

Who’s your favourite or plays most like you do? I tend to pay attention to FPLHarry or FPL General and would listen to the pods most weeks.  It’s funny though as my better team is ahead of most of them in the Top 15k  at the moment  

Do you have any rules like no mancs? No hits? Or always benching players who are playing against us?

I’ve been playing now since 06/07 but what is making this season the most enjoyable is that both my teenage sons have picked a team and are actively playing for the first time. It’s been brilliant and we’re enjoying some real bonding time, talking strategy, passing on tips, deadline reminders and wildcard drafts etc.

I just do the 'pick a score' ones for PL, CL, EL. To be honest I cba chopping and changing a team every week  for the fantasy PL stuff as I know I will eventually end up fielding players who are either injured, sold or dead such is my attention span these da....

Best thing I ever did was quit this about 5 years ago.

My best season was 15th position overall, which was quite decent I thought.

This year I'm about 3,900,000 and it's basically ruining my life.

I don't follow content creators.  I used to occasionally check the ones I followed on Twitter.  I've abandoned that cesspit wholesale now though.  Otherwise I mostly use the Redcafe FPL thread for ideas and advice.

I don't have no Mancs types rules.  It's important to do it completely objectively, although the decision has been made for me by the fact that they've been complete s*** in the two and a half years I've played.

I played in about 2002 and found it basic and dull because I think it was just goals and assists back then but there's a few more variables now and I'm obsessed.

How's everyone faring this season? Maybe we could start a YNWA league?

I’ve dropped to 20k now after a bad week. There already is a YNWA league. Not sure who the admin is though

Please explain how you manage to be top 20k in the world.  Are you following content creators?  Poring over stats all day?

I’m just having a good year. Previous best was 13k but usually finish around 250k. 
 

I follow a couple of contact creators, more for a heads up on upcoming fixtures but I don’t always use their player suggestions otherwise we’d have the same teams. 
 

I’ve also benefitted from Mo being a legend as he has been my captain from day one. if he goes off the boil my team will suffer as a consequence. I picked a “No Haaland” team at the start of the season.

I waited about 15 matches to bring Mo on because I thought Haaland's next scoring streak was around the corner.  It's ruined my whole season

Well I spent way too much time thinking about strategies etc. Never let my own preferences cloud my decisions, was looking at stats a lot, following a few FPL sites, listening to a podcast etc. 

I guess luck plays a part as well.

I’m quite addictive so I go all in or stay away. Hence I’ve quit FPL, any sort of betting and nicotine so far

The main annoyance in FPL was the fact that to be competitive you had to jump on all sorts or bandwagons like Robin Van Persie, Didier Drogba or similar and that kind of made me feel schizophrenic when watching games. Ended up hating it more than liking it. Even if Liverpool won 5-1 and you lost a Jose Enrique clean sheet you’d be fuming.

How'd everyone go midweek chaps?  I managed 67 and am ruing not thinking to make Isak captain against Wolves as that would have been an easy choice had I been paying attention.

Amad scoring a hattrick dragged my ranking down.  I was enjoying his non-performances until now.

I've finally bought in Aino this week after their four recent clean sheets.  No doubt this will mean they concede a goal every week for the rest of the season.

2 bad weeks followed by a decent one thanks to swapping Cunha to Gakkers. Dropped back to 50k now. Big DGW 24 coming up so hoping Trent, Mo and Gak rack up the points. Triple Captain on Mo

I managed to forget to captain Salah during the DGW.

Although I think both us and Villa have won in GW 25?  I'm thinking of getting Rashford in
