He was my favourite player when I first started really being interested in about 1971/72. For no particular reason other than that he had an absolute rocket of a shot on him - properly blammed them in.

Remember being in the Anny Road end for a game against Norwich around 1974, battered them for 90 minutes then Ted McDougall went one on one with Clemence at the Kop end.Ray saved ,we attacked, Callaghan cross to Cormack with a great header 1-0. Don't see diving header experts like he was nowadays .RIP
