BBC has this down as 17th September, but I thought that was European Cup week so assuming it will be the week after?

They;ll decide it once they know which week we play in Europe.  That's why the draw was so odd.

The teams in Europe should probably just not be in it any more realistically.

Week commencing Monday 16 Sept is CL week 1 with no EL and ECL games

Week commencing Monday 23 Sept is EL & ECL week 1 with no CL games

That's the only time that happens and CL/EL/ECL weeks 2-8 are the same.

So I believe they'll play Carabao ties not involving CL teams in the first week and the rest (inc ours) the next week

'The Round Four draw of the Carabao Cup will take place live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of Liverpool v West Ham United on Wednesday night.

Sky Sports’ Carabao Cup presenter Mark Chapman will host the draw, with Round Four ties taking place week commencing 28 October.

Wonder what would have happened if one of the teams in Europe had been drawn against Wimbledon and had the tie postponed. 

Newcastle have a free weekend next week to be able to rearrange it, the teams in Europe don't. There's absolutely no scope in the calendar for European teams to cope with cup games being postponed.

So Arsenal are getting the Man City draw path this season. They'll probably get the winner of Southampton/Stoke in the next round.
