Today were his first minutes. Trent too but given he was in the main team I figure he starts

Not winning the first game of the season always pisses me off. I hate playing catch up from game one. There can be extenuating circumstances. Away at Chelsea like last year is never a gimme, and away to a newly promoted team is a pain. But just win the game and get up and running.

Yeah City are City and Arsenal are now firmly in the ‘they win almost every game’ arena now.

Three points and we’re away hopefully.

It is a gift, they were a whole division below us last year cos they are s***e, just go and t*** them.

Which is exactly what we should do. But it’s their first match in the premier league for 20+ years and both their teams & fans will be right up for it. We need to handle it professionally but there’s a difference between playing them away this weekend and mid-season when their morale has gone and their form imploded.

Burley is a good manager and we need to keep an eye on Marcus Stewart

0-6, Abel Xavier goal I reckon.

(This is entirely from memory and might be well off.)

Only if we let there be.

Play them mid season and I guarantee there'd be loads whinging about getting them midweek when they're battling to survive or whatever.

It is a great early marker. Don't win this and we aren't serious about anything.

Oh I hope we send them home crying over their tractors. But a weird game like this will be a measure of how we cope with things this season and this could be a tricky one on the opening day. Hopefully we just get the job done, do the same to Brentford and then off to United with 6 points.
