Southampton vs Liverpool - Premier League, 24th November @ 2pm

Both Arsenal (home to Forest) and City (home to Spurs) will have played on the Saturday. So we’ll know their results in advance.

But either way Southampton have looked pretty desperate so far this season and I think obliterating them would send a real message.

I like your confidence but Southampton played well against City recently yet couldn't convert their chances. They are capable of a wonder goal, like the Forest winner at Anfield, and won't have too many players returning from international duty so they should be in good physical condition. Not being expected to win they might as well give it a go and see what happens.

I'm more jittery about this fixture than the recent game at Arsenal. It reminds me of the expected stroll at Bournemouth after beating the Mancs 7-0. Having destroyed Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield we managed to lose 1-0 with even Mo missing a penalty.

I fear complacency and international-break fatigue, and would shake hands now on a 1-0 win.

Southampton are comfortably the worst team in the league at the moment and we are comfortably the best. We have an extra day post international break with it being the Sunday. It’ll be ok.

Obligatory posts;

1. Wish he could play because he's s*** lol

2. Cue some 2nd choice keeper having the game of his life

On a side note, this will be his third relegation from the prem with a team that wears stripy white/red shirts

Brentford should definitely avoid buying him

I'll miss this one - first game this season that I won't have watched. All because I'll be at the b-i-l's house for the weekend and he only has freeview telly and no pub anywhere near his house.
