honourablegeorge Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Iwobi seems to have peaked somehow, he's been ace the last while. Fulham will be a test.

Their fullbacks are good 1 v 1, so both Mo and Diaz will have to be on it. They have a decent amount of pace on the break, but if we play with intensity and press them well, they wont get out of their half [like they didnt against Arsenal in the 2nd half]. Think the key is to score first, and not give them any confidence as the match goes on. Diaz could do with a goal, he hasn't scored in the last 7/8 league matches, we need him to start chipping in a bit more consistently. Hopefully Jota makes an appearance.

They weren’t that great against Arsenal, but yeah, will be a hard afternoon if we don’t have our collective heads on.
Nebraska Red Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Maybe Chiesa gets over his fear of everything.
Gethin Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 b******s, just realised I'll miss the second half of this. Poor planning.
D.Boon Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Szobo can have a watch of this from the bench. Let Mac Alister or Jones have the spot.
Gethin Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Mac Allister's suspended for this 'cos of the Everton postponement.

Wouldn't have Nunez near the starting lineup for this - they're 10th on 23 points, but City are 4th on 27 so it's tight there. They're no mugs this season

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 yeah but he's got a lot of running in him too though, remember last season - or the one before - he was a right pain in the a***

Ombudsam Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 I imagine that we will not be that great in the first half and then improve in the second half.
Case Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 We've dropped off a little in intensity since City, possibly due to enforced lack of rotation, so this game is a bit of a worry.
