YugoB Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 Hoping we bounce back from the last two draws and get a win, in whatever fashion. We have a day more to prepare, I imagine they will play a stronger side tomorrow than we did today. That aside, we've rested most of our players leading up to this game, there shouldn't be any excuses for lethargic starts. Defensively I'm concerned as they have pace in their side, and they pose a threat in the final third. We need to put much more pressure on and off the ball, and minimize the space in behind. The fullbacks have to be on it, as they'll have enough to deal with out wide. If Kostas is fit enough to start, I'd like to see him over Robbo. I imagine Ryan and Macca will start in midfield, with either Szobo or Curtis playing as the 10, it's good to have options in midfield for a change with Harvey back. I wouldn't mind seeing Jota Darwin and Mo up top, but with Darwin playing the full 90 today, more than likely he starts on the bench. Start the game with intensity and score first.

YugoB Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Did Macca pick up a knock to his knee before he went off tonight btw?

stressederic Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 A win here would be huge for us. If we could also stop Son from scoring the exact same goal against us every f***ing year, that would be good too. 3 1 1

D.Boon Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 Draw wouldn't be the best result but can't get beat

Gave them a pen for a foul outside the box but we'll draw a discreet veil over that one.

Martinus Posted December 19, 2024 Posted December 19, 2024 They only have one fit CB. This is the kind of game we should be winning comfortably.
