4 don't go - one of the keepers (Trafford), Shaw or Gomez depending on former's fitness, maybe Quansah, Jones or Wharton, Maddison or Toney

Edit: apparently he's announced a squad of 33 so 7 of that squad won't go

Quite why he's got Maguire and Shaw in there I do not know, would have bothered with Grealish or Toney either.

He's even said Shaw is a long shot.

I think Toney might go actually, if he's not why pick him over Solanke?

Tripper seems to be lined up for left back if Shaw doesn't make it. Should be Gomez surely.

Fck it. Dave needs a rest.

I guess Southgate picked 33 players to wait for the media to tell him who to leave out.

I can't wait for him to go.. A awful useless prick, who got very very lucky.. but a shocking dull manager..

Think it's more that there are some injury questions (dumb ones, like, you're never taking Shaw who's barely played a game this season) and it's easier letting 7 down than 4 (speculation but the kind of weaselly thing Southgate would do).

I'm just starting to look forward to this. Really keen to see how our players do, English and otherwise. Would be great if Dom, Gravenberch, Gakpo in particular have strong tournaments. Looking forward to watching them.

Not sure our English lads will actually get a game though.

I despise Southgate. He's a coward of a manager, the antithesis of Klopp. Imagine Southgate in the league cup final for us this season, there's no way those youngsters come on. He'd have just accepted defeat.

We're hosting Ukraine it seems...

Last time (2006) I encountered the Venebles (pbuh) and associates met Allardyce and McCoist (sh*tfaced).

I don't know if any teams are going to be based in Berlin itself, although I read yesterday that Croatia are going to be in nearby Neuruppin.

Edit: Seems Austria will be in Berlin.

I got the info from here: https://www.sportschau.de/fussball/uefa-euro-2024/von-herzogenaurach-bis-berlin-quartiere-der-em-teilnehmer,euro-2024-quartiere-100.html

Note Scotland's positioning for a quick exit at "Hohe Gnade"

Love those first couple weeks of international tournaments when there's football on all the time. Always disappointing when you get to the 3rd round of group games and they pay simultaneously.

Never actually been down that way. All I know is that the Zugspitze is big and that there was a train wreck in Garmisch-Parteikirchen a couple of years back (no jokes at Scotland's expense intended).

You in Wiesbaden then? Was there a couple of months back for a gig at the Schlachthof, really nice town. I read Klopp is building a house in the area too.

Yes, apparently Klopp has built a mansion in Sonnenberg which is an expensive part of Wiesbaden. I'm expecting him to be down for a few pub quizzes 😉

I lived there for 20 years, but we're about an hour's drive away in Sankt Goarshausen now.

The first day of the world Cup when there is a break is soul destroying

Ahh right. I’ve been in Berlin six years now, slowly losing my mind as everyone living here seems to at some point or another.

Haha nah, that’s a cable car. Was a regional train that derailed and rolled down an embankment. I actually drive something similar to the train that was in the accident.

Oh I realise that, I just wanted to shoehorn the w***Bahn into the thread 😂

Six - so you arrived AFTER brexit? From what I've heard the backlog for foreigners to register in Berlin was horrendous. True?
