What the f*** have we witnessed over the past 8 or 9 years? f*** me - it's gone quick hasn't it?

So, what were the best bits?

The best goals?

Best players?

The funniest bits?

We may never see the likes again but we got to see it. For me, they were the best Liverpool team ever, I'd go as far as to say that for maybe 2 or 3 years, we were the best team that I have ever seen.

Jurgen Klopp - I thank you from the bottom of my heart

Best bit, winning the league.

Best players, Bobby, Mo and Sadio at the top of their game.

Funniest bit, Klopp doing his leg in running at the 4th official.

The Salah goal away to West Ham was astonishingly good

Salah’s goal at home to Newcastle from Bobby’s back heel - like, wow, some goal that

Winning in Madrid is the happiest I've ever been as a football fan. Full of optimism; it was clear we were building something special.

Yeah unfortunately this.  I'll be bitter and sad for a very long time

Would you swap Barca for a trophy? Nobody does what we did that night.

The best period of being a football fan of my lifetime, there were times we were so good that I had to remind myself that it really was once in a lifetime type football I was watching.

Funniest moment has to be divock origi v Everton and klopp running on like a maniac

Origi v Everton (I mean he had a few but obviously THE one) is the greatest moment in human history.

The sadness that we didn’t win as much as we should have with him will never leave me.

It's such a glass half full / half empty type of thinking, and I lean towards thinking about the above too - missing out on two titles by a point... Karius in the CL final...  It's a shame it wasn't more won, because it deserved to be. But at the same time, once City came to power, and with the likes of Chelsea still around, there was a time when it felt like 4th would be a challenge every year, and I certainly didn't expect us to win another title in my lifetime. He gave us that and more.

The 4-0 against Barcelona is hard to top. I watched that at work. We had these "sound proof" telephone pods, but I remember one of my colleagues messaging me on Slack because she heard me screaming with joy at our 4th goal, and wanted to make sure I was ok.

He won every top trophy in the game with us not a lot of managers can say that in this country. The honours he won with us doesn't justify the contribution he did to football and to this club. We all know why.

Barcelona at Anfield... I haven't rewatched a game from Jurgens time as often as that...

Even more special that I was at the game with my youngest and ahead of the game I wasn't confident and felt like a huge mountain to climb but the buzz in the ground even before Divocks goal you felt something was going to happen that night.

Walking away from the ground teary eyed and strangers rubbing my lads head and shaking hands with everyone was just incredible.

Madrid was special too. Was glad to finally be at a final and see us win

Think there were 4 parts of it

The beginning stage from 2015-2018, now you know what came next, was one of my favourite times to be a Liverpool fan. Was such an exciting team, the way we were smashing teams in the CL run in 17-18 as an underdog you felt something special building.

Then 2018-2020 we were literally the best team in the world. Deserved two PL titles and maybe could have been two CLs if Ali wasn’t injured against Atleti in that weird COVID game.

2020-22 we did well to rebuild and almost had the greatest season of all time. We deserved more than what we got particularly in Paris.

Then another fall off before rebuilding and becoming a top team again, if he had the energy for just one more season you’d back us to win either the league or CL next season

When you listen to him in the interviews you understand why it had to end but f***ing hell it doesn’t make it easier

Ali, Trent, VVD, Matip, Robbo, Fabinho, Gini, Hendo, Mo, Bobby, Mane

What a f***ing team

Cherished memories - there’s loads more but these stick in the mind

Jumping on Sadio’s back v Arsenal

Lallana v Norwich

Thrashing City at the Etihad in his first few weeks, still think about that Emre Can back heel

Dortmund 4-3, redemption for Lovren after that effort against Villa in the Cup semi

Gini v Middlesbrough to get top 4

Phil Coutinho scoring the same world class goal every week cutting in on his right and curling it into the top corner

Mo Salah looking the best player in the world Roma (h) 17-18

Ox’s two screamers against City 17-18

Losing 2-1 against City 18-19, but knowing you’re watching the two best teams in the world

‘Adrian like Rocky’

Sadio v Villa

Bobby’s winner in the club World Cup knowing we were legitimately the best in the world

Phillips and Williams photo with cuts and bruises after getting top 4

Mo Salah goals v City and Watford in consecutive weeks, at the peak of his powers

Trent v Fulham

Performance against Newcastle at home 23/24 one of my favourite games given how much we created

I got quite good at celebrating goals quietly when we had the B&B but in the course of celebrating that one, I managed to break the chair I was sitting on & smack my head on the floor whilst yelling something incomprehensible like FUGGINGGERRINGYOUFUGGINBARSTARSDS at the top of my voice.

Said something similar on another thread but for me, mostly not being able to get to games, it's been two hours a couple of times a week where I've been able to switch whatever was going on in the rest of my life off and watch remarkable footballers doing remarkable things for a remarkable manager.

Danke Jurgen
