Advice needed for being a guarantor

Afternoon wise Sages, I need some advice on this. I said to d be a guarantor for my son's new flat and the letting agency have contacted me asking for loads of information ,which they want by tomorrow 12 noon.

They want 3 months bank statements, 3 months payslips, a copy of my credit score from a credit agency and a copy of my passport.

Now I think this is all way too much and am very close to saying "piss off". Is this normal for a letting agency in Glasgow or your area or are they taking the piss.

I'm genuinely concerned that some letting agency will have an awful lot of my private information
