So just how weak a team would you go with for this?

Shame Danns seems to be injured, would be a nailed on start for him otherwise.

Reckon Kelleher, Tsimi, Quansah, Clark, McConnell & one of the young forwards start this with a strong bench options just in case

I really thought this was next week. Good to get it out of the way. What a great training exercise and fitness opportunity.

I swear to God if one of you (Macca) mentions mockers in relation to the above I’m gonna proper ellipsis you.

The strength of putting out a decent team in the first leg is now showing itself to be a canny idea.

For this one, I'd have none of Kelleher, Gomez, Robbo, Mac A, Konate, Endo, Elliott, Nunez, Diaz, Szoboslai starting/playing

Adrian,

Bradley, Quansah, Nallo, Tsimikas

Nyoni (c), McConnell, Clark

Gordon, Gakpo, Koumas

Some of the big lads on the bench in case of disaster.

Start some regulars and sub them at halftime. Probably need some input from Dominus as to the exact moment we make the changes to avoid any potential injuries.

I don't think we send out that inexperienced a team, even with a 4 goal lead. We'll have first teamers scheduled to be replaced by other first teamers on 45

Yup, pretty much this. I don’t think we have any option but to start some of the regulars

Robertson, Dom and Salah should be starting, and subbed at half time, regardless of the score. They need some minutes before Sunday.

Sunday, we can start our best 11 and run the score up to ridiculous levels. 14 day gap then.

What the hell are we all going to do for 14 days?

Think about beating Brighton and then watching one or both of our title rivals slip a bit.

You'll watch 12 hours. a day of tin-pot international fixtures at a guess 😉

I wouldn’t be starting all of our best players in the Cup against those grocks.

I reckon Adrian starts

Just don’t see it. If he didn’t start Southampton then he probably won’t start this. I’d say if thryre not gonna start Kelleher, they’re more likely to start one of the younger goalies who are comfortable with the type of distribution that Ali and Kelleher can do. Adrian’s lack of ball playing skills takes a lot out of our defensive game

Klopp never goes as weak as people think he will

I'd expect Salah and Szoboslzai to get minutes

Something like

Kelleher

Bradley

Quansah

Gomez

Tsimikas

Clark

O'Connell

Szoboslai

Salah

Gakpo

Gordon

Think Danns just had concussion, so should be ok to play. Salah, and Szoboszlai to get some minutes probably from the start and then off for the second half. Assume Gordon will play a part too, and Gakpo will likely start.  Keep players like Endo, Mac Allister, VVD, Nunez and Diaz away.  Gomez could do with a rest too, but will prob be needed.

I do not watch international footy unless there is absolutely nothing else I can find. We are looking after a puppy for a few weeks and I'll be walking the little demon every couple of hours to wear the little sod out.
