best way to book a train in the UK

Back over for my dad's b/day but have to fly into London so want to get a train from Euston to Crewe

Found the trains I want on Trainline - forgot the piece of s*** website (and app) just will not process payments anymore. It was fine till about a year ago. but no dice now.

Went to trip.com - I've used before - same trains but 50% more expensive....

Any recommendations?
