Any chance the league would accept a request to postpone the game to a time when we'll have more then about 4 senior players available?

All jokes aside, I'd probably start the team that finished the game tonight with of course Ali in for Kelleher.

You’d hope gakpo and Nunez start ahead of Elliott and Gravenberch

It now seems Dom will be available. Having him alongside Mac and Curtis Jones is a decent midfield.

I'd say that's our first choice midfield,. and you can argue form there as to whether it's a decent midfield

they lost their last (league) game but won the 4 before that. The defeat was Spurs. Their form doesn't say much about them apart from they're weird - comfortably beat Fulham (this season's nemesis for us), squeezed it vs Forest with a last min winner when they played vs 10 men for most of the game after the most ridiculous red card, smashed the Mancs at the Mancs, beat Palace & drew with Villa.

Reading between the lines - we need to go strong. They started the season badly but have put it together

you can thank me later

and with City not playing, a win keeps their feet to the flame. City don't get a jump on us for a bit - their next League game is Weds 31st - Burnley (H), we play Chelsea that night, then we go to Arsenal Sun 4th and they don't play till the 5th.

We don’t have enough available players to have the luxury of making that choice.

Dom not back in training I'm being told by Internet people

Annoying if true. This is the available squad then:

Ali Kelleher

Bradley Konate Quansah VVD Gomez Beck

Gravenberch Elliott Mac Allister Jones

Diaz Jota Gakpo Nunez

Plus some ressies.

Out:

International - back mid Feb at the latest: Mo, Endo

Injured - hopefully back some time in Jan/early Feb: Szoboszlai, Trent

Injured - back in Feb: Robbo, Tsimi

Injured - long term, no return date: Thiagwho, Bajcetic, Matip, Doak

Liked though I'd also considered down voting as the Thiago snide is unnecessary

I’ve been calling him Thiagwho for about 3 months 🤷🏻‍♂️

Congratulations

I know it’s petty but his career here has been enormously frustrating. Bit like Kewell, great player - never fit when you needed him
