dyl Posted November 5, 2023 Posted November 5, 2023 (edited) Hope we go there Touwin I'll get my coat...... Edited November 5, 2023 by dyl 1
Gethin Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 I'd go relatively strong in this. If we win, we've definitely qualified and would win the group if Union SG don't win the other game. The final two group games are in amongst a tough run of fixtures so not having to care about them so much would be good - and winning the group means we avoid the 2 leg play off games in February. Something like this, hopefully get it done early and get subs on. Kelleher TAA Matip Gomez Tsimi Gravenberch Endo Mac Allister Mo Gakpo Diaz 1
Swipe Posted November 6, 2023 Posted November 6, 2023 (edited) I'd go complete b-team if possible. I know Klopp won't be I bloody well would. That game against Bournemouth last week made us look leggy yesterday. Not the same intensity/conditions of course, but I'd be using this as a chance to give some of them a rest. Don't want to see Salah even travelling. Edited November 6, 2023 by Swipe 1

Hoping he keeps at least some first teamers at home.

I have no problem with starting a few, as long as they are replaced at half time when we're 8-0 up, 6 tap ins from Darwin and a couple from Mo. Although I'm not sure Darwin does tap ins. His goals from 3 yards out appear to be the ball hitting him rather than him hitting the ball. Edited November 6, 2023 by Nebraska Red

PaulMcC186 Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Mac Allister is starting, according to a few journalists.
Gethin Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 (edited) Wouldn't surprise me if Mac Allister starts further forward so Endo Szoboszlai Mac Allister Edited November 8, 2023 by Gethin
D.Boon Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Got all excited then before realising it's only f***ing Wednesday.
Swipe Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Presume VVD is being given a rest. Some stuff about an MCL injury for Grav on Twitter.
Eiler99 Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 (edited) If Grav is out for a while as the rumours suggest, I think it's time to give Endo a run at 6 and move Mac further forward. Edited November 8, 2023 by Eiler99
Cam Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Klopp says Virgil is ill but will be fine for Sunday. Jones out until after the international break. Grav may be fit for Sunday but if not will definitely be fit after the international break. So all three will be like new signings this time next year. 1
muleskinner Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Gravenberch minor niggle possible for the weekend according to Jurgen and Virg is ill. Jones back after the international break. 2 1

Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 I'm in the go strong & win the group now camp It's Toulouse (A) then Brentford (H) on Sunday The last 2 group games fall like this - Sat 25 - City (A) Thu 30 - LASK (H) Sun 3 - Fulham (H) Weds 6 - Sheff U (H) Sat 9 - Palace (A) Thu 14 - USG (A) Sun 17 - ManU (H) Be nice to not have to care about LASK & USG at all & be able to focus 100% on the league games

stressederic Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Or a midfield of Dom, Endo, and Elliott against Brentford...? Though I have just read the post @Gethinwas quoting... 1 1
