The Stand-up Comedy Thread

Had a trawl through and although there've been plenty of past threads about stand-up, there wasn't one single main one as far as I could see so....

Last night I went to see Peter Serafinovicz's Brian Butterfield show. It was quite extraordinary in some ways. Some real belly laughs and it was kind of pitched perfectly. For a one man performance over two hours it was predictably a bit patchy but it was remarkably good overall. There were a few awkward moments and I've still not decided if they were him being in character as a slightly ponderous and thick owd fella or if maybe he was just buying time to try and think of a line that he hadn't rehearsed or scripted. Overall, great though.
