Deserves a thread.

From the very first game I do not remember a season quite like this.

7 games 4 sendings off.
1 all last season. The entire season.

Liverpool have had three red cards in their last six Premier League games, which is as many as their previous 168 beforehand. (That's four and a half seasons)

Liverpool have topped the Premier League fair play table for five consecutive seasons under Jurgen Klopp.

Something clearly stinks.

Both players going to win the ball, both players with their feet off the ground while connecting the ball. Red card for the fella in red. f***ing joke, the guy on VAR was the same person who allowed Saka's goal against us last season because he couldn't be arsed to draw lines on the screen.

All big decisions went against us, Jones Red card wasn't even a foul

Jota's first booking wasn't even a foul, the Spurs player fouled himself when he kicked himself way after passing Jota's path.

The offside, holy s***, just looked him up Darren England, what a clown.

From Paul Tomkins

Quote

Sickening misuse of VAR by Darren England who never makes subjective overturns (2 in 55 games). Shows the ref the still frame that is the aftermath. And the ref who has only made one big decision in 18 games sends off Jones. Farcical. These officials are beyond a joke.

Basically Darren England is GW Bailey as Captain Felix Maxwell, the security guard in 'Mannequin'. Too busy to watch his monitors because he's lording it around Stockley Park with Rambo the dog, trying to catch a wooden clothes doll sh@gging Howard Webb.

I see no contact from Jota there and even if there was contact it was purely accidental.

If there's contact then it's the Spurs player backheeling Jotas knee before tripping himself up.

Aye, the spurs player kicks Jota's knee, causing him to lose his stride, kick his own leg and then falls over. It's not even a foul.

This game surely has to go down as one of the worst officiating performances I've even seen. Simply because every single big decision went against the same team. The responsibility goes on ALL officials from the referees, to the linesman, to the VAR. Never seen such a bout of incompetence for a good long while.

Cards for minor dissent needs to stop immediately. As does punishment for criticism of officials by coaches.

If anyone has the previous incidents to hand, throw them in this thread.

You know what, I'm absolutely fine with cards for dissent, imaginary card waving, blocking free kicks, kicking the ball away - all of that. As long as it's done consistently. And with this bunch of useless f***wits there's zero chance of that

But that's the problem isn't it. Arbitrary, subjective and wide open for abuse.

FFS, I can understand the subjective stuff for the red cards/yellow cards, even if I think it's lazy refereeing on the pitch and downright stupidity when it goes to VAR.

But the offside!!! He is either offside or onside, if you disagree with the decision by the officials explain yourself.

The lack of consistency is appalling. These guys are full time, professional officials, not some guy who did 50-60 hours at Waitrose the previous week. Players and managers get bans and fines, do the same to the f***ing idiot match officials. That linesman should be doing Sunday League for the rest of the season, never mind what Defoe said on TV.

We need to circle the wagon around Klopp and the players cause it's clear that we aren't getting anything close to balance of decisions.

At Anfield, tierney, taylor, brooks, Hatzidakis, all of them, we need to be on them every decision.   Every time a player rolls the ball away, every foul not booked.

From the first minute and the non decision on trent to the cry arsing from neville about trent should walk for gordon doing a swanny on a ball he was never getting helped build towards virgils red.  2nd red in 2 matches.

Not a f***ing chance the rat faced c*** is saying Martinez or varane should walk if they made identical challenges and came out with the ball.  Non.

We need to be on these f***ers for every decision they turn a blind eye to that would benefit us, like the six or seven fouls joel linton got a talking to.

It was bordering on mike riley united v arsenal level of bias today.

I'm 52 years old and I'm sure I'm fitter than every single one of them. There's no excuse for it, I'm not superhuman but I doubt any of them would outperform me in any fitness test and many of them are 10 or more years younger. It starts there, if you're out of breath you can't make reliably sound decisions. They're all c****

You can't really see it in your clip, but the spurs player's left shoe slightly kicks Jota's leg/knee, which makes the spurs player's leg change direction and tripping himself.

2 sent off in one game.

How often does that happen?  We see players sent off all the time, for another to go it has to be something so blatant the referee has no choice.  Not a push or a trip or a jostle.  Has to be something drastic.  At most they will speak to a captain and give a warning.  Usually they give the player a telling off.  He ran over there with them cheering in his ear.

This was all a result of those others scores coming in and they went into it knowing what they wanted, or rather didn’t want.  Made sure they got it.

They’ll be gutted that their confidence has taken them too far but will still expect to ride it out.  It’s what someone from SYP would do.

Flown out to UAE for a private exhibition match too.  Lovely jubbly.

They don’t even broadcast what’s being said between the on field officials and whoever is on VAR duty. They just hide behind everything with football. At least with other sports like rugby and cricket you can hear what’s being said between them like rolling the video back, have you got any better angles etc. so things can be clarified rather than biased opinions making a decision.

So England also didn't give a handball pen to us v Chelsea when the ball came from a corner and with his hands raised the lad nearly punched it into the net.

Same game konate has a boot into his chest yet given as a yellow after England reviews and says its not dangerous play.

Wonder what other games he reffed us in or was on VAR this season bet loads of other clear examples.
