5:45? FFS.

Kelleher (rest Alisson fully by leaving him at home)

Gomez Quansah Virgil Tsimikas (VvD should be nowhere near this comp until Spring but he needs games)

Gravenberch Endo Bajcetic

Doak Gakpo Nunez (Salah's gonna want to play, ain't he)

nah - we're going strong till we're in the k/o stages

doesn't mean players like Doak won't get a look in but he won't be starting this one. Salah will defo start.

Golden rule is don't piss about

I reckon we go with stronger first XI's in the first few games to get points on the board. We'll use the bench for the likes of Doak minutes with hopefully the games under control. Reckon we'll see something like

Kellher

Gomez Quansah VVD Tsimi

Endo

Elliott Gravenberch

Diaz Gakpo Jota

Bench to include Doak. Clarke, Bajcetic & one or two other players from the ressies

Think we’ll go stronger than the above for the first few games and get the points. Then later relax with weaker teams when it’s done. It’s all about momentum and this new team hasn’t lost a game yet and won’t want to.

Yeah I'd go with something like that but would start Doak

I'd also leave Dom, Mac and Mo at home

Why go strong? Why even risk it? I say let the big boys stay home. The squad is plenty strong to win without Ali, Virg and Mo.

To win a game of football? I would start Konate too.

I think Kelleher, quansah, badger if he’s ready. More minute for jones. Debut for gravenberch. Can see a strong front 3 though. With five subs, can see doak getting a half at least.

good opportunity to keep working on patterns of play and integrate new lads and young lads.

Are we calling Bajcetic  "Badger" now?

I hope not.

So I looked at these LASK lads and from their recent match at the weekend only three players from their lineup has played for their national teams.

On paper they are an absolute s*** team.

We absolutely don't need to risk any of our important players with games coming fast.

LASK: They play in a 3-4-3 / 5-2-3 depending on how high the fullbacks go.

GK: Tobias Lawal (0 CAPS)

DC: Felix Luckeneder (0 CAPS)

DC: Andrés Andrade Cedeño (23 CAPS, Panama)

DC: Philipp Ziereis (0 CAPS)

WBL: George Bello (7 CAPS, USA)

WBR: Florian Flecker (0 CAPS)

MC: Sascha Horvath (0 CAPS)

MC: Branko Jovičić (2 CAPS, Serbia)

LF: Elias Havel (0 CAPS)

RF: Marin Ljubičić (0 CAPS)

SC: Robert Žulj (0 CAPS)

Put the names in a hat and draw them at random. It's the only way we can be fair to our squad.

Do it as a live event on lfctv and make millions from sponsorship.

I'm not a fan. Anyway he's Man U.

I'd prefer, for example, someone like Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu
