Thought this was interesting from Klopp's interview:

"But how Thomas Tuchel said today in the press conference in Munich I think, the position he is best at, they don’t really have in their system. We have that – that’s good."

I'm not sure what position that is? A double pivot with Trent? Doesn't feel very balanced. Sorry I know this is boring.

He was talking about a number 8. Weirdly that's a position we are already very well stocked. I don't think we'll see much of The Grav at 6, thankfully. I just hope we don't waste Mac there.

Ah okay, I was still trying to imagine our 3 new lads making a complete midfield. Funny one though, it's leaving a lot of dependency on Endo to be the mainstay while we alternate all the number eights we have.

Still think the plan is to move Gravenberch deeper but we'll see.

The bits I saw at Ajax I was always impressed. He’d been in the big three of midfield protégés along with Tchouameni and Bellingham at one stage.

Trust Jurgen to get that talent back.

I really like that Jurgen's clearly wanted to sign him for a while - he must be excited to work with him.

Sounds like Gravenberch wanted to come here too so that's a good start 😊

Funny Robbo saying 'finally a good Dutch player' in his welcome video 😂

Was just about to post that 😂

I think, hope, the plan is to work on Curtis being the six, with Grav, Mac, Elliott and Dom rotating at eight. The Baj doing a bit of both and Endo holding the fort while Curtis develops. Options.

Was hoping for a 6, but this lad certainly has the talent and the fact the Jurgen and co. have been after him for so long tells us that they believe that he can be a star for us.

Think all three will be playing there at some point in the match. Feel Jurgen has been after a more fluid, and unpredictable, midfield this summer

Baj played there loads last season

He didn’t, after his first couple of games he was generally further forward.

Think he’s gonna need to develop physically if he’s going to play 6 regularly. He’s got the skills to do it already

Ah ok. My perception is off then.

Jones at six, for Liverpool?

Nah. Look at the great sixes in recent history and tell me he's got anything in common with them...

He's a creator and not the standard we need. Being a local lad, he's the perfect squad player, the same way Butt was for Utd.

Playing him there was a desperation move for one pre-season game. Pretty certain there's no long term plan to do it.

I don't think there is a future here for him playing further forwards, don't think it suits his skill set and loads ahead of him in the pecking order. I'd defo like to see him play DM this season, with some energy around him.
