Very Urgent Irish Passport Advice Needed

Daughter due to go for a weeks holiday to Portugal. Discovers today that her passport expires on 10 June. She is broken hearted - just turned 21. Tried Irish Passport Office just now but shut due to public holiday. Any idea what she might be able to do?
