Wow. f*** Lawrenson.

Did MOTD have higher than usual figures because all the racists made a point of watching it to show how wrong Lineker was by expressing his terrible views?

It was probably just a novelty thing - to see how s*** it was. Viewing figures would have dropped off a cliff the following weeks.

What’s this about?

'Justice Day' - the Cup game against Arsenal in Jan 2006 when the crowd chanted for JFT96 for the first six minutes.

When it stooped, Lawrenson said what I posted above.

Definitely - I rarely watch MOTD but I had to see what the Tories had f***ed up, so I watched the intro and our 'highlights'

The Hillsborough protest during the Arsenal game, Lawrenson (who actually played in 1989) said when the protest had finished 'Can we get on with the game please?'

Did he have any Merseyside connections before joining us? A religious teacher of mine at Ambrose Barlow on Queens Drive circa 1978 said she was his sister

He most certainly has an issue with words.

At the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the BBC received 172 complaints after Lawrenson said that Swiss striker Josip Drmić "should put a skirt on". The channel responded by stating "We acknowledge that the remark by commentator Mark Lawrenson about Switzerland's Josip Drmić was inappropriate and we apologise for any offence caused by it".

It's strange that Lawrenson keeps having digs at the BBC and others for getting rid of him, yet he he was always complaining, sounding bored, and harping on about how much he hated football and travelling

He's like the exact opposite of Ally Mccoist
