Wish we’d go back to counter attacking footie until the end of the season. We can’t play the 90pt a season stuff with the players we have.

Ten Haag changed that lot after they got smashed at Brentford. We’ve still got lots of speed so use it.

Where is this "lots of speed"?

I can see Nunez up front with speed, but he's injured. Robertson at the back. Salah used to be quick, but not seeing much pace at the moment.

Right now, we're a team of plodders.

Gakpo, Núñez, Salah, position the midfield deeper and get the full backs higher due to this. Get Jota or Firmino supplementing from in the middle. Then their lack of it isn’t as problematic.

We are 7 points from our last 3 league games, so there’s not going to be a radical tactical shift. Beat Wolves (I know) and its 10 from 4 games. Decent form.

The reason we didn’t win against Palace, was because we couldn’t pick the same side, keita in, Nunez out etc.

Once we get the inconvenience of Madrid out of the way, we will be on a game a week and that might give us a chance of settling into something like a decent run.
I’m very doubtful that it will be enough to get ahead of both Newcastle snd Spurs, but there is a chance.

In a weird way, we could do with Newcastle suffering a morale sapping hammering at Wembley today. However, we could also do with United suffering the same morale sapping hammering.

Change the tempo, use the holding mid more often when passing through defence, don't stroll like it's 2019 and we're awesome...show some f***ing fight

Yes, and FFS let's not bother making 4-5 passes when 1 is all that's needed. It's not up to us to let the opposition gets back in shape.

At least we should have plenty of data on Wolves

We could make a film celebrating this epic series.

"Dances with Wolves."

An original title, yes?

Or perhaps, "Liverpool vs Wolves, boredom sets in."
