Firmino in for Elliott if fit. Ox drops back. If Firmino isn't fit, Naby in for Elliott

Basically, no more Elliott in the league please

Any news on the following?

Bobby, Elliot, Robbo and Milner

From the Offal (Jurgen's post game presser)

Quote

On the knocks sustained by Elliott and Robertson during the game...

Funnily enough, Harvey, before the game, injured Robbo a little bit. In our warm-up game, he hit him with a knee at the hip, so it was a dead leg. He could play but then at one point the muscle closed and he couldn’t play on. Harvey got a knock, which was quite painful, but when you see the situation because it is clear that’s painful, but that’s it, I think.

So Robbo should be fine, who knows about Elliott. The way they were reporting the Bobby & Milner injuries that they were short term, having said that you probably don't throw either of them in to start even if they are available. There's a presser tomorrow so we probably won't find out until then

I think Elliott has been good this season.

He's ok as the third forward or part of a midfield 4, he's not suitable for being part of a midfield 3.

Yep that's how I feel. Certainly at this moment ln time. Given his age he may well eventually settle into a midfield 3, but given the bare minimum should be top 4 this season I wouldn't be starting him unless I had to.

I didn’t see the Bournemouth game but the only game I have really seen Harvey do well in in a three is against Newcastle. I thought he was brilliant. He was against S’ton last season too.

I reckon a load of the praise outside of that has been projection.

That felt like less of a 3 to me. Happy to be wrong but it looked like 4 across the middle to me.

He played very well that day though Hass. Happy to celebrate that fact.

Elliott has been alright, one of our better midfielders at times, and he gets points for availability ofc. But he c***s up our shape on that side, is too lightweight, short and slow to be as effective as say a Henderson or Gini without the ball, and he has through no fault of his own become the face of the sh*t show that was this summer’s recruitment.

Toney in contention for tomorrow btw according to Frank.

Target his knee from minute one.
