ynwa.tv Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Liverpool vs Manchester City - Premier League, 16th October @ 4.30pm
Red Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Slightly less scary than 24 hours ago. Unfortunately we'll still have our work cut out but can easily see City getting frustrated if things don't go their way. Anyhoo, full of optimism now so 2-1 to us Des'.
stressederic Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 I’d be very tempted to go back to the 433 with Gomez providing us a bit more security down that right flank. 1
Ed the Wool Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I've been looking at the table. A win here and it gets interesting. 1

Roscoe Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Why spoil the nice warm fuzzy feeling this morning by reminding me of this?

PaulMcC186 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I'd play Jota over Nunez. He looked better when he came on and can't really drop Firmino. 1
Molby Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 everything points to 1-4 or 2-4 which is annoying 1

Happier about this game too although we’d be 4-0 down by half time if we played like we did last night in the first half v city. Big plus is Mo looking like the Mo of old. Hopefully our forward line gives them something to think about. Also I fancy Konate v Haaland. 19 minutes ago, PaulMcC186 said: I'd play Jota over Nunez. Thought he was utter garbage last night bar the lovely finish laid on a plate by Bobby.
Cobs Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 dunno how/why you'd start Nunez on the back of last night's showing. We can't have passengers on Sunday. Firmino and Salah are must starts, Jota on the left of a 3 makes most sense 1 2
Benzo-13 Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 The midfield is the conundrum. Do we go back to Fab, Thiago and Henderson.

I think so but I’m really clueless as to why we’ve gotten so porous this season. Thought Elliot was fantastic from start to finish too. Looked more solid with Gomez being a more normal full back so he’s in for contention too.
RedHarvest Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Really need Virgil and Fab to get it together to have any chance here

Weirdly VVD seemed to get worse as we got better. Think Konate could be a game changer on Sunday for us.
Cobs Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 people were bagging Virgil in the game last night - apart from their little winger nipping the ball off his toes at one point i don't think he did much wrong. I do like the physical presence of Konate alongside him - reckon he'll be up for a battle with Haaland

Konate is one of the few players in the league who are a physical match on Haaland, it should be a good battle.
RedHarvest Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 I think Virgil is way off, he got done a few times last night and his passing is off too. All the focus has been on Trent but him and Fabinho seem to be having the most dramatic form crisis imo But class is permanent so hopefully last nights result and 2nd half team performance gives them a boost for City

They'll be at their best, we need to be at ours.
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Think 4-4-2/4-2-4 is here to stay for a while, can’t see us going back to 4-3-3 any time soon
