Tommok Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 (edited) Yeah I'd be happy with the same line up and similar tactics. Hopefully Trent stays more on the right rather than drifting inside too much - that worked well on Tuesday and didn't stifle his involvement in our attacks. Martinelli will be a threat on the break and will exploit any gaps left. Hendo and others were great at filling in when Trent pushed forward hopefully more of that again - the shape looked better. Rangers were an awful team and can't gauge any improvements from that game because of that.. Arsenal are full of confidence and playing great football. I think we will get beat
Benzo-13 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I’d try Elliot as a 10 here and I dunno whether Jota or Nunez not both. If Bobby plays I think we are f***ed. He’s scoring but playing bad. 1
Falconhoof Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 3-1 to them, hope it isn't but thats probably where we are.
jimbolala Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Elliot doesn't do enough to cover Trent so I would rather we kept the same line up. At some point we could even score from open play haha. I think it will be a tight enough game, Arsenal are good defensively but won't sit back like Rangers back 10 did
PaulMcC186 Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 None of the centre forwards are playing well enough for me to care who starts out of them.

However a positive result and performance again them sets us up to have a better go at City. Enter the City game off a bad result and performance and I'd be proper worried.
cymrococh Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 When was the last time we lost to these jokers? 1
Hassony Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 As long as Gomez doesn't start, and we have Thiago and Hendo playing, we're not losing this At worst it'll be a draw, but I think we'll win

Jarg Armani Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I would accept a good performance, am not expecting to get out of there with any points. We have been so poor it is likely going to be baby steps to get back to a decent level. 1

We'll need to start the three best centre mids and then make a decision about the front three; the usual will just leave that central zone between midfield and attack vacant again and allow Arsenal to dictate possession, unless the fullbacks press more like City's and allow two of the three midfielders to push up ten yards and shut things down early We can easily win this, we might get spanked but I think it'll be closer than what some are dreading
muleskinner Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 This is not a vintage Arsenal side despite their position, they are just as worried about us.

We f***ed up the midfield in the summer so have to create a diamond that does what the three used to do
