This is driving me mad: I have a value in a cell that is a straightforward percentage ( like 100% ) - no formulas or calculations or anything.

I'd like to convert this to a number ( 100 ).

I've tried all of the customer format tricks I can think of but they seem to be producing mad results.... any suggestions on how to change the cell format to turn the percentage into the same numeric value (so 75% becomes 75, 54.5% becomes 54.5 etc. etc.)
