ynwa.tv Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 Liverpool vs Ajax - Champions League, 13th September @ 8pm
Nebraska Red Posted September 10, 2022 Posted September 10, 2022 They are a balanced team, a mix of young and experienced players. Fast and direct up front, but suspect at the back.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 You'd say Napoli (A) is the hardest game and probably Napoli (H) the 2nd hardest - especially after seeing them. So this would be our 3rd easiest - hence a must win - based on Napoli A Napoli H Ajax A Ajax H Rangers A Rangers H - usually a group wouldn't be quite like that but I think the gap between each seed is quite large
oakie bob Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Minutes silence before the game..................

PaulMcC186 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 I haven't decided what I'll do. I reckon I'll go in late.

Yeah pretty much where I am...and factor in that Klopp has asked us to respect it and that I reckon not doing will hurt us somehow (not 100% sure how that looks)
Tommok Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Realistically, there's no way it's going to be totally observed is there?
psl Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Apparently the club requested a minute's silence.
Cunny Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 if we don't observe it then it gives every d****ead from opposition support justification (in their minds) to not observe any future minutes silence for Hillsborough 2 3
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 personally I would - it costs me nothing. I wouldn't stand though. 1
Roscoe Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 I’m 100% abolitionist republican but it just needs to be done 3
Nebraska Red Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Don't give the f***ing media any ammunition. We are brilliant at observing any kind of silence. Save the booing for that awful UEFA anthem. 1
smithdown Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Ammunition for what? f*** the Tories will be fine. It’s not like the country is going to go oh look they had a minutes silence let’s now give them justice after that cover up we were all perfectly happy to go along with emotional blackmail bulls*** 1
Cam Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 It would boil so much (London/Manc/media) p*ss if it was perfectly respected. As it should be - its not like they're asking us to sing GSTK, ffs. And I think it would have been unequivocally respected until fairly recently, maybe ten years ago. 2 1
Gravy Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Whoever is going just observe it ffs You can’t gripe about others not respecting Hillsborough if we just go and do the same thing The whole of Europe - maybe the world - will be watching not just England - booing or whatever else might be done will do so much damage to the clubs image. You don’t here to be a royalist just by keeping schtum for 60 seconds. 2

Silent indifference is fine. No good comes out of us singing or worse through this. I think. Edited September 12, 2022 by D.Boon 1

You wanna sing f the tories, then fine, do it after the minute’s silence. the silence is for the queen no one else. 1 1

There'll be zero chance of Hillborough silence being observed in the future if this one isn't. "I am a republican and a humanist. Indeed, I am a republican because I am a humanist. I wish the individuals well and the institution ill", as Gary Younge put it in the Guardian a few years back. 1 1

Its for the demonstration that people have regard for the crown. Nobody at that game knew her. I’m not saying disrespect the silence, i’m just interested in the ‘why’ of all this mourning 1
