Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Now that I'm getting older - I'm 20 years younger than Murph was when this forum was invented - I was given some gigs from the optician. My eyesight is fine really - just when I'm knackered, first thing in the morning, or the dreaded low-light in a restaurant I struggle a little. I don't know which it is - I can see far away fine, can't read stuff up really close - that's far sighted? Anyway - went to the opticians last August. Prescription was pretty low. Opted for those vari-focal things. After 10 mins, 3 bruises on my legs coz I kept bumping into furniture and having to sit down because I felt carsick - it was like a fishbowl, move my eyes or head at all and everything went all big/small/big/small I thought f*** this. Took them back in March - unworn since - they put reading only lenses in. A magazine up close is fine but to read my computer I now have to get about 6 inches away. And I still feel sick wearing them. f*** this for a game of soldiers, I'm binning the, off. Waste of about a grand that
