Mutley Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Season defining this, however... Referee: Anthony Taylor. VAR: Paul Tierney. 1
Dominus Maximus Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 (edited) Yeah. That’s a huge problem. I’m sad now. Michael Masi and Toto Wolff vibes here. Edited April 5, 2022 by crouchinho

psl Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 (edited) The way in which match thread etiquette has been so heinously abused for our 2 games against City is so unfair on our poor players. What chance do they have now? Edited April 5, 2022 by psl 1 2 3
Nate. Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 I'd like to see Jurgen reference it, cleverly in a bid to get the bias thought in the minds with a view to them hopefully going out of their way to prove otherwise.

Nebraska Red Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Just announced that Taylor will be wearing his powder blue referee kit to make sure there is no confusion as to his allegiances. 1

Ombudsam Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 I honestly can’t tell which refs have done what. Surely they’re just all as good/as bad as each other. Everyone that gets announced leads to a cry of “Oh no, not him”
Nebraska Red Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 I don't mind Oliver, Mariner and Pawson. They always seem to be reasonably competent and fair.

I know because Klopp told him at the end that he is the only ref he has a problem with. He then didn't give Everton a penalty for the City handball, although he wasn't the VAR. So not ideal he is involved, not because he is biased but because he is s***.

But don't give him the biggest game of the season. And just for how it looks, probably don't appoint two refs from Manchester.
Gethin Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Ali TAA VVD Matip Robbo Fab Hendo Thiago Mo Jota Mane Assuming that Fab is fit enough to play. Would imagine Naby in with Hendo playing "6" if not

Nebraska Red Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Carragher made a good point after the games. Does Pep pick for Sunday with next Wednesday's game in the back of his mind?

Does Pep pick for Sunday with next Wednesday's game in the back of his mind? I would think that only happens on genuine 50/50 calls within his squad like maybe Dias. Is it worthwhile putting him in or is it better to hold him back. But if the first team are fit, they play both games I think.
Buttles Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 (edited) You know it’s bad when Richard Keyes is questioning the officials for Sundays game! Edited April 5, 2022 by Buttles
mofus77 Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Hope our plan for KDB is a good one. He seems to be back to his best.

They played Gundogan in midfield tonight and rested Grealish and Foden So they went Rodri/Gundogan deep, DeBruyne mainly central and Bernardo given more licence to roam. Silva Rodri Gundogan Mahrez KdB Sterling I expected a team with Silva/Rodri/KdB in midfield and front line of Grealish/Foden/Mahrez. I don't think it makes sense to put DeBruyne as the 9 against us. He needs to be deeper picking passes with pace of Foden/Mahrez. I would prefer playing a team with Gundogan in midfield and DeBruyne further forward. 1
