Onwards…..

Think we’ll go strong as possible and try and kill the tie off. Biggest question is whether we risk Trent ahead of the City game - I think we probably do.

Going to be an interesting team selection with an obvious desire to build a lead balanced against the City game at the weekend. The fact we have Tuesday till Sunday probably means he goes with the big guns, although Salah probably gets a rest.

I can’t make my mind up about this salah rest. Tough one for Klopp, he will be disappointed salah didn’t score yesterday. If he had I’d agree, salah comes off the bench on 60

Go strong from the off, take players off if and as the game allows but this is the European Cup, the holy grail.

I wonder if he has picked his teams already for Watford - Benfica - City.

RB: Gomez - Trent - Trent

CB: Matip - Konate - Matip

LB: Robbo - Tsmikas - Robbo

CM: No idea, except Thiago sits out Benfica [Fabinho & Henderson for City also].

LM: Jota - Diaz - Mane

CF: Firmino - Jota - [I think he'll go Jota given his goals]

RW: Salah - Salah - Salah

Bobby somewhat returning to form could be key to all this.

Could be the key to the whole season tbh. Said at the weekend, if he's on form he starts all the biggies.

It's a complicated one.

Jota is scoring goals at a time when Salah is not. Can you take Jota out and replace him with Firmino when you are not fully confident the wide players are in the best of form ?

If Firmino starts, Salah is starting every game when fit on the right, then the competition is insane on the left with Jota (position that he got his goal on Saturday), Mane and Diaz.

So the Firmino selection comes with alot of consideration.

I know. Jota is only effective through the middle really. Bobby has more brains than all of them though. Nice problem to have.

Simao has done us a favour bringing up 2006. I was beginning to think I was one of a few that remembered it.

I was driving down a road near me with the radio on when he scored. I avoid that road now. I hear the commentary in my head if I drive down it. I'd like to reclaim it.

Well it has only just occurred to me that this is a European Cup quarter final.  Previous ones I’d have been trying to take my mind off it but this just feels like we are walking through walls.

Maybe need to give my head a wobble and be reminded of when they knocked us out.

At least it isn't that Luisao c*** at the back. Always remember him playing well against us, maybe scored a goal or two.

Their two centre-backs at the weekend were Otamendi and Vertonghen.

Could be fun.

they're conceding a goal a game in the portuguese league, could be fun indeed
