I couldn't see a thread anywhere, so started one as I have a question about the ballot.

If you are successful in the ballot does that count against you for final tickets if we get there?

I see where you're coming from. It would certainly be unusual if they implemented that. Very much "thanks for your support so far but we've decided to look elsewhere for this one".

Actually, reading it like that and it seems *exactly* the kind of thing the ticket office would do.

I assumed it’s the other way around. You won’t qualify for the ballot unless you’ve got x amount of rounds including the semi? Not sure though.

I like to think that the fortunes and on-field success of Liverpool Football Club is inextricably linked to who starts match threads on this forum.. you know, by fans, for fans and all that..

It’s beautiful isn’t it. Not only just ignoring the next match but actually starting a thread assuming that we have won the match that the thread is allegedly about.

They should hang this in place of the Mona Lisa.

Do we not play 4 times before the semi?

This thread is hanging like the sword of Damocles, not only over the results of the club in its upcoming matches, but over this forum and in particular over Cunny. After decades of faithful service in these fora he goes and does this.

Of course if we win all five then we all owe him a beer.

Not many people are talking City up for the treble. Seems odd to me considering they are favourites in all 3 competitions. If they beat us at Wembley it will all of a sudden become the major talking point. Horrible eh.

they were 8/1 to do the treble we were 20/1 to do the same (the bet was the Quad but the League cup is already won so...)

I think he should owe us all a beer for the extra stress this is causing

The building narrative is how Liverpool blew the quadruple, not how City might win anything/everything remaining. It's always about Liverpool failing.

That's always been the way with the British media. Build expectations up to a ridiculous level and then take great delight when those expectations aren't met.

Most years they talk about the City quadruple. Its not a Liverpool thing, it's just a 'what's the biggest story' thing.
