Liverpool FC v Watford - Premier League - Sat 2 Apr @ 12:30

13 days before we see the lads re-start their quest for world domination.

We currently have 8 games in 28 days in April, with a 9th to come if we get through to the CL Semis.

Trent probably still out with his hammy, the rest depends on who comes back from the International games in good condition and how this latest f***ing COVID wave turns out. Most players should be back in the UK at some point on the Wednesday before the game

Live on BT Sport.

It would be nice if we lost this one, just to help that lovely Mr Hodgson stay up. The guy deserves it after a lifetime selflessly dedicated to finding football perfection. Who amongst us wouldn't sacrifice a title to support a great man in his hour of need.

We'll find out just how steady the hamstring is during April as you say. You could genuinely put Gomez in at RB for the games in bold and still expect the team to win. We need Trent for City away.

After that, depending on how the results go, we may decide that Utd in the league is more important and give Gomez the FA Cup semi final - or - less ideally, give TAA the FA Cup game to try get to the final and see that the league is harder to win and give Gomez the United game (which, in reality, is not a big impediment to beating this United team at home).

  • Watford (H)
  • Benfica (A)
  • City (A) 10th
  • Benfica (H)
  • City (Wembley) 16th
  • Utd (H) 19th

Lots of "ifs" in there.

imagine anybody who does not play in the internationals starts this

Milner, Gomez, Matip, Bobby, Thiago

I'm assuming Robbo will not play for Scotland

Elliot and Jones are with England u21s, I assume Konate is with France u21s

South American lads probably won't be back till the day before

Mo and Sadio play the Tuesday night, should be back training on Thursday

They'll all be back in the UK on the Wednesday. The South American lads play early hours of Wednesday morning and you'd think would be on a plane back straight after, so should be back into the UK late Wednesday

Can't see Diaz starting.

Nice break where allegedly some kind of "International Football" happened. Bet it was all crap (with added lazer pointers).

Anyway, into these reds. One game at a time and put some pressure on City before they cruise to a 0-5 win at Burnley.

No one was injured while away were they? and it sounds like this is too soon for Trent.

The other unknown is COVID with the lads that have travelled. Reckon we'll try and get away without starting any of the South American lads (other than maybe Ali) even though they'd have been back later yesterday

Ali / Kweeve

Gomez Matip VVD Robbo/Tsimi

Hendo Thiago Elliott

Mo Bobby Jota/Mane

That's been on my mind for a while, it lulls into the background and then 2-3 weeks ago Milner and Kostas missed a game because of Covid.

I dont think Elliott should be starting. has struggled since coming back from injury, which is understandable

Not full training and they've said this one will probably be too soon for him - but looks like he should be OK for City.
