Gethin Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Well this looks a bit make or break with Mo and Mane off to AFCON straight afterwards Hopefully Thiago's back for this - options off the bench were rubbish against Leicester. Needs the rest of them to stick in a big performance.
mofus77 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Think we missed Thiago massively, hope he's back but the vague "minor muscle soreness" line from the club gives me the chills.
Sion Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Reece James, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell, Christensen are all probably out. Rudiger should have been sent off as well. They'll probably play Azpilicueta, Chalobah, and Rudiger, with Alonso and Hudson Odoi or Pulisic wing back.

Molby Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 completely f***ed (unless we win and the other necessary events occur over the season) I predict a comfortable win for Chelsea but also for us what do you guys think will happen, and why?

There will be points for either team. Just f***ing show up.
Begbie Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 We'll play out a drab 1-1 with both sets of fans thinking they should have won and partly blaming VAR. City's players will watch and laugh whilst bathing in gold, then get offended by some comments that they have a financial advantage

Then FSG will surprise us with a top forward and a midfielder in the second week of January.
RedHarvest Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 No Robbo is a worry, and hope Thiago is available, but I fancy us too, for no good reason except we're better than them at our best and we've the motivation of shaking off an abject performance v Leicester

Cunny Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 probably a draw which will almost certainly guarantee City the title

psl Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Anthony Taylor to ref with Paul Tierney on VAR. Goodo.

PaulMcC186 Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 I obviously want us to win but it's just a game to see who comes 2nd and 3rd.
Earl Hafler Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 So we get Tierney on VAR for a grudge match with more needle than Benn v Eubank ?

Yep, we'll get something soft like a debatable penalty just so he looks impartial & forgives us our sins. But in reality it's so he can get away with the next decision. Like a harsh red card when it's a 50/50.
