Apart from Thiago, Origi and Elliot, it seems we've got a full squad to choose from as our "COVID" lads are back in training.

They've got City before us.

All else being equal:

Alisson

Trent Matip VVD Tsimikas

Fabinho Hendo Keita

Mo Mane Jota

Bench: Kelleher, Ox, Neco, Jones, Milner, Ibou, Taki, Bobby, Morton

I do wonder if they might rest players away at City thinking home to us is the better bet. I wouldn't blame them given we aren't playing on 26th. Would still fancy us to beat them.

Curious, but with Jota's excellent and always improving form, has he put himself in front of Bobby in the reckoning now if both fit?

Yes. Bobby needs to games to find from. We can't afford to give it to him from the start. Get to 4 - 0 at half time and send him out on his own for the 2nd half.

Been looking at lots of YouTube goal compilations, Bobby was so much more a few years ago than he is currently. Think Jota is ahead now, on merit.

Like we knocked them out last week.

Mentally terrorise them:

1) play the three scorers from Wednesday.

2) bring Kelleher on for any penalty they get.

3) let them go 3-1 up.

4) Don't name Jota in the squad, just have him as a ball boy next to Schmeichel's post, refusing to bring him the ball and constantly screaming "f*** off".

5) have Jurgen wear a Brendan mask and constantly copying Rodgers' movements. Do this until Brendan gets the actual horn for 'himself' and his wee shark-headed manhood shows "great character" live on TV.

why?

Combination of players unavailable and resting players for our game which they presume is much more winnable. Would be very Rodgers that.

He's such a prick isn't he? Not far off Hodgson in my assessment of his personality. Marginally more successful.

Remind me how we got on in the more important game days after he fielded that team at the Bernabeu.

Also how Soljkaer and United did when he decided to rest players against Leicester to save them for our game last season

Probably the best performance I've ever seen from a full back. I think Leicester were 2nd at the team.

In the context of that season it was massive enough but its the most complete and dominant performance I think I've ever seen from us or anyone. Perfection.

Still not quite sure how we were only 1-0 up at half time. Absolutely battered them

I reckon it was the night everyone knew we'd win the league. The next night when City got beat by Wolves confirmed we were miles ahead of them. Not many Liverpool fans admitted it but it was over then.

It was. Leicester were the team behind us and even after just the first half I was like “What the f*** was that”. I couldn’t believe how good we were. It was astonishing stuff.
