Kids Liverpool Christmas jersey

So a kind aunt has bought my son the Liverpool away shirt (cream) with No.4 Virgil on the back for Christmas - but it's the wrong size. This is a large kids shirt (probably suit a 10-11 year old). My son is now on to 'small mens' size

 

Don't suppose anyone here wants it - and then i can buy my son a correct sized one?

Wouldn't the correct response here be to make him  wear the too small one old school. Character building and let's him know how s*** parents are early on.
