First of a run of 5 games in 13 days.

Can see a few changes for this one, then going as strong as possible for Spurs away on Sunday. Hopefully Bobby's fit enough for the bench

Game's on BT Sport in the UK

Ah FFS I thought this was next week.

Too many games man.

9 games in 28 days in December. Thanks feck some of the injuries have cleared up

If we get through to the Semis of the League Cup, we'll have no game between 15-23 Jan which will be the first midweek without a game (International breaks aside) since the start of September

I hate it. It’s too much. It wears me out.

Who wants games like this every few days? Just leave me alone for a bit.

Jota for Ox.

That's it. Everyone else had a rest in midweek.

Think we'll see Matip rested for this. Thiago as well perhaps.

I wonder how Steve Bruce is getting on. He must be fabulously wealthy, but with probably few interests outside of football. I imagine him sitting in an armchair eating ginger nut biscuits.

Writing another football based crime thriller trilogy hopefully.

Hopefully he has time to look after his property portfolio as his tenants have been complaining about the living standards

“I didn’t do it,” I said weakly.
“And England didn’t win the World Cup in ‘66” he sneered.

“Duffy had a knife in his back. You don’t stab yourself in the back, do you?”
I almost smiled. Eddie knew all about stabbing others in the back, at least with words.

Maybe we can look forward to a cricket-based crime thriller.
