Send the U18s.....

One slight complication is the new COVID rules on travel. Theoretically requires a negative test 48hrs before you travel back then at least 2 days isolation in a UK quarantine hotel until a negative test on Day 2 on your return. We don't play Villa until Saturday so it's doable, but it'll be very disruptive to training if it's enforced

Potential to disrupt Chelsea quite badly.

Us and City play away Tuesday - but have already won our groups and can keep key players in the UK.

Chelsea play away at Zenit on Wednesday - they've already qualified but need to win to win their group. They then play Leeds on Saturday at 3pm so any players they take away with them won't get back to UK until early hours of Thursday and may not make it out of quarantine in time for that.

I reckon they'll put some kind of an exemption in - be difficult to move the Chelsea v Leeds game to Sunday as Leeds then play City on Tuesday.

Leicester have the same issue FWIW

Definites
Group A - (Winner Man City) PSG
Group C - (Winner Ajax) Sporting

Possibles
Group D - Real or Inter (will finish 1st & 2nd). Inter need to beat Real in Madrid to win the group. Anything else means Inter are runners up
Group E - (Winner Bayern) Barca or Benfica. Barca on 7 and have Bayern away, Benfica on 5 and have Dynamo at home. Benfica have the tie-break if they finish level on 8pts
Group F - (Winner Man Utd) Villareal or Atalanta. They play each other in Italy, Villarreal need a win or a draw to clinch 2nd
Group G - Any of the 4 can still qualify
Group H - Chelsea and Juve (will finish 1st & 2nd). Both on 12 & play each other. Only a Chelsea win will put Juve second. If Chelsea finish second we can’t draw them

Yeah definitely. If I were the club I'd be sending the bare minimum team & staff out there for this. Give us a good excuse to do that too.

Keita and Gomes seem to be taking part in training so hopefully they’ll feature one way or another

Long absence for Jones for an eye injury, isn't it? Hopefully not a detached retina or anything on that scale

Think klopp mentioned something that he was able to do normal stuff in the gym and in general but had to wait for the all clear from the doctor before playing footy again. That’s was a week ago or something and not heard anything since. Strange one.

Sounds like something along the damaged retina lines then, that they don't want him risking another impact until it's healed
