This is one of 3 of the next 5 games that are 1500 KOs not on TV.

Reckon we go mostly full strength for this and Everton then rest loads for the Milan game. Nice to see some players coming back but might have to start Origi if Jota's not fully fit.

Origi was brutal last night, will probably hit the corner flag from 8 yards out in this game but then score from 30 yards with his knee against Everton

Be interesting to see who's back for this.

Jurgen said in the post-match he was told Millie could have 15 mins, so he'll be on the bench again. Imagine Robbo and Hendo will be fit enough to start but I'd give them both 30 from the bench and let them loose on the Ev. Jota's got a niggle so reckon he'll be on the bench.

Bobby, Gomez, Keita, Curtis & Harvey probably won't be in contention

Reckon it'll be something like

Ali

TAA Matip VVD Tsimikas

Fab Thiago Ox

Mo Origi Mane

Subs: Kelleher, Neco, Konate, Hendo, Morton, Milner, Minamino, Jota, Someone from the ressies.

Edit: Wonder if he'd start Minamino over Origi given that he knows Southampton from his loan last season

To be fair he was no worse than we've seen from Bobby and Mane and Minamino for long periods.

Some of his link up was actually fine in a brief cameo.

I know Minamino has scored recently but I'd maybe prefer to see Origi get some minutes to get some rhythm than Minamino.

I'm fully on board with a 30 yd goal off his knee against Everton tho.

Another thing to factor in - forecast is for wind gusting up to 60mph which might make things interesting

It'll be fine - Thiago's daisy cutters won't be high enough to be affected by the wind ;)

never fear - we've been planning for this with the move to Kirkby, and Jurgen's got a load of lads ready to plant trees on top of whatever stand will break the wind..

I know we say this a lot but this one is a must win. City got west ham and Chelsea got united.

I reckon we go strong. Plenty of time between this and bitters with no travel.

We should go on a sea voyage inbetween the games, to throw everyone off the scent. Maybe train on an oil rig.

Any snow in Liverpool? Gonna be a fun drive over the pennines today.

Lots of fallen trees. I'd check your usual route is open.
